For being JCPenney I was very pleased, much better than our attempt at Christmas with The Picture People and soooo much cheaper. Dylan and I getting in the picture was actually a last minute decision and I'm so glad we did. The picture quality of course looks better in person. I can't seem to figure out my scanner setting and photo editor on this newer computer we have. My old one did a much better job scanning pictures. Its still the same scanner, but different photo editor...? I'm sure its me doing something wrong! Two of the pictures my mom scanned and I saved them off her Facebook. They look good (I'm sure you can tell which ones they are).
I'm also seeing quite a few posts about birth family searches and know I need to get on the ball as the further and further out we get I know it will be harder and harder. I'm just having a tough time wrapping my brain around doing it. I'd love to hear thoughts from other families starting their searches and thoughts from others who've already completed their searches. Positives, negatives...?

We did searches for both of our boys. Found out a lot of good family history.

I love the pics. Anna looks so happy and "fits" in perfectly with you. I myself being adopted never wanted to find my birth parents, so I am not going to do it for Ava. When she is older if she wants to I will let her of course. Good luck.

We are still contemplating finding out more information about Aubree's birthmother/family. Another online friend has decided to proceed...I'm still not sure.

We are thinking about doing the family search too. I am trying to wrap my brain around all of the possibilities. Will you pass on any info about who you are going to use?The whole thing is a little scary!

Your little girl is growing up! We are not going to do birth family searches. If the boys are interested when they get older we will be very willing to help them.

A birth family search is something that I struggle with also. I want the information for Anna. I want the answers for those hard times when she asks me a question that I do not know the answer too.
I worry is will it cause more heart break for her birth family or not.
My Anna and your Anna's life here is so much different then they could ever imagine in Russia. I hope to get over my fears of the birth family search so that I do have that information for Anna.

The pictures are so cute and you all look so happy! How wonderful that Anna will smile for the camera... CJ won't even think about it. :) Let me know if you want to talk further about birth family searches... we are hiring Illich to go to Vlad in Oct/Nov. A few other Vlad families are hiring him as well - he will do them at the same time.

We are not planning to search - we'll help Daniel if and when he wants to search. We just feel like it's his decision. I whichever way you are most comfortable is the way to go!
