"First" haircut

So I am calling this Anna's first haircut. I'm hoping this will help grow out and even up her short hair cut she was given in Russia. She really enjoyed the cut. I had Dylan go first in case she was scared at all, but no worries. She couldn't wait for her turn and did great. She has really fine, wispy hair. I was debating about growning out her bangs, but for now I think I'll wait on that. We're just growing out her sides that were really really short. I never get tired of hearing how much she looks likes me. I never get that with Dylan!

Of course I couldn't pass up posting some pajama cuteness.

Anna is doing great lately in her speech and just in the last few weeks and been putting 2 and 3 words together more and more. One of her new words that is driving me crazy but is completely adorable is "WHY?" Every time I tell her to stop doing something she says WHY? over and over.....like don't bang that on that cabinets? Why? because it will hurt them WHY? Don't scratch your brother WHY? because it gives him owies WHY? and on and on. I love because she is using the word appropriately but BOY does it get old! Any time she accidentally kicks or hits you with anything she stops and kisses the boo boo and says Sorry. Its just cute as can be! She'll even do it if I hit myself on something. I worked really hard on soothing and kissing owies and now I love that she does it in return!
So now at 2 1/2 yrs old the doctors finally said she's "on the charts" at about the 0-3%, weighing in at just 24 lbs....BUT that was with shoes and jeans on. I've never gotten her to weigh that much at home, more like only 23 lbs, but it was still nice to hear that she was on the charts.

Anna looks ADORABLE with her bob haircut! Love it! Clara has super fine, wispy hair too. Kevin is bugging me to get it cut but I'm not quite ready. I know she has a little mullet going, but oh well. :)

I love how Anna kisses booboos....aaaaaaawwwwww. And what great news about her speech & getting on the charts! Clara is falling off the charts for weight - she hasn't gained any weight for 2 months because of her activity level/walking/running increase.

Looking forward to meeting your princess in person SOON!

She looks beautiful :) I'm jealous how she looks right at the camera and smiles! Sounds like Anna is progressing wonderfully! I have always kissed every boo boo for Grace, but when I get hurt and scream, she laughs! Maybe someday there will be a little compassion :)

Anna is too cute! I love her bob haircut and that spunky little smile. And what a little sweetheart with kissing the boo boos. Glad to hear you guys are doing well.

Jeanette, Natash goes back and forth on laughing when someone gets hurt and being very compassionate. They'll get it eventually :).

Shelly, Anna is so so cute. And yes she does look like you. Her eyes look amazing, there dosen't seem to be any redness or swelling anymore! I know what ya mean about the thin and wispy hair, maybe the Russian Princess with the blonde hair have thin and whispy and the Princess with the brown and darker hair have really thick lucious wavy hair? I don't know, but I put Ava in a lot of hats!

I love her new hair cut - it is so cute and stylish. She does look like you - for real! She always looks so happy, I don't think I could take that many pictures of my Russian DD smiling that much! Good job on the empathy!
