Nothing New

I just thought I'd check in since I haven't posted in awhile, but really there is nothing new to say. It took about 4 weeks to get all of our updated paperwork to Russia, mainly due to a homestudy update delay by our agency and apostilles taking longer than usual from our wonderful capital in Calif. I haven't heard anything further on our case since they've received those docs. I just sent over a batch of docs to our agency yesterday for all the docs that are expiring in August. I guess there in just one letter to update that we signed back in July when we were in Russia that is expiring that we need to redo. It gets tricky with so many updates and still making sure everything coordinates. Our homestudy is from Nov 09 so our annual income on that was from our 2008 taxes and there is a small difference from our 2009 taxes so I need to know if the July letter should match our homestudy or reflect our most recent tax return. I think the amount is minimally different, but judges seem to be being EXTRA picky. I'm still hearing reports that judges are not setting court dates so I just don't know what to think. All I keep reading are reports that things with the Russia/US bilateral adoption treaty are going great and both sides are in agreement and working hard, BUT no treaty has been officially signed yet. I just feel kinda numb to it all right now. Update, update update...pay, pay, pay....thats all we keep doing with no apparent results. I also sent off a third set of fingerprints to the FBI. This time I decorated the outside very boldly that it was for internatinal adoption and needed for court so I'm curious if they will get processed faster than the 10 weeks it took last time.

As I kept hoping for a July court date, I have been trying to make sure Dylan has been getting to do lots of fun things during this first part of his summer vacation. We just got back from another river trip, had a fun few days in Palm Desert with my mom and sister, went to see Toy Story 3 at El Captian theater in Hollywood. Any Twilight fans out there?? I'm soooooo excited to be going to see Eclipse tonight in Imax!!! Yes, I'm one of those addicted Twilight Moms.....Team Edward of course.

This must all be so very stressful for you and I admire your courage. I so much hope they'll give you a date soon. The not knowing is the hardest of it all, isn't it?

But... the day will come and the moment you'll have your little girl in your arms, all this will be forgotten. Keep hoping!

I was trying to think of something encouraging to say to you and I am just coming up blank. If it helps, my husband and I pray for you and all waiting families daily. Never give up hope!

Keep strong, keep praying and keep thinking about the day you'll finally bring her home. I know I say this all the time, but I can't believe how long you have been waiting....torture!

I am so sorry that things are so bad right now. I know that nothing (other than a court date)can make it any better. We rec. news on Friday that our region is starting to move again, we are praying for a date soon. Maybe its a sign that things everywhere are getting a little better. Ugh. This stinks. At least you have Edward in all his fine-nesssss in IMAX! Jealous!!
