We have a court date!!!!
I'm in shock. I mean, I was "hoping" I would hear something soon, but I dared not get my hopes up much. I still kept thinking they would tell me they needed more documents or something, or would have a problem with the way something was worded, or who knows. But August 11th is the BIG DAY! Any BTDT words of wisdom are welcome. I've applied for our visas and reserved some flights, but I'm not totally sure of the date we need to be there to get the medicals done & visit with our little miss before court. Now I also need to scramble around and make up a schedule of family and friends to help with Dylan. We will miss his whole first week of school, but it will all work out.

I always get nervous for court but your agency takes care of everything so you've gotten this far you are almost there! Congratulations!

Yeah! I am so happy for you all. It has been a long wait but now the hectic whirl wind begins. I'm sure court will go well. We had to be in Russia 5 or 6 days before court to see Colby and complete a few visits. Then we had the 10 day waiting period after court. We were there about a month altogether. August should be nice. It ahs been warm. Pack to wear layers. The buildings are pretty hot, even when we went in winter. Yeah! Keep us posted. Any questions, don't hesitate to email.

I am SOOOOOOO excited for you!!! AUGUST 11TH WILL BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!! Let me know if you want a copy of my judge questions I was in a different region so I do not know if it will help or not. Take lots of pictures!! Hmm for advise I say do not over pack save room in your luggage for things from Russia for your little one. The toys that kept Jake entertained on the plane were picture books that played music, play cell phone and of course LOTS of snacks.

Finally!!!! I am so excited for you!!! Okay so thoughts and advice about court....talk lots!! In our system here, we are told to just answer the question, there they want you to elaborate!!! Just talk openly and freely. They will ask about recent events in the news, how you feel about it. They will ask about how your kids feel about a new sister in the family. Remember not to be nervous, they will not deny the adoption. They have reviewed all you stuff and it is pretty much a done deal. Really, they just want to meet you!!!! So excited!!!!

Finally you can EXHALE!!! The rest will be easy - you have pictured every moment in front of that judge and your heart knows every answer there is to be asked. You have been on my mind and I am so relieved to hear that your day is in sight. I was in Khab in June and it was HOTTTTTTT!!! and humid. Pack light clothing and things you can sweat in is my only thoughts other than YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I just remembered reading a blog of a family in Vlad that got questioned very hard and had to have a new hearing a few days later. The big question they couldn't answer (if I remember correctly) was where (exact address) the post placement reports would be sent. Check with your agency about that.
