Wow, 1 year now

I really don't like that ticker I put on this blog. Who wants to see that its been 1 year since we last held our little girl? Its so very hard for me to imagine the little girl we are going to see again in just 2 weeks. I know she's grown and changed so much. 2 weeks till we hold her again!!! Now that feels better to say.

I really haven't been going too crazy. I have both sets of flights booked. I just need to reserve our hotel for the Moscow stay. I received our blood test results and chest x-rays, which stated that we are "unremarkable". Somehow that wording made me smile.....exactly when is being unremarkable a good thing!? Now I need to get our agency the results so they can get them to Russia to be translated.

I'm trying not to worry about the treaty whose text is now agreed upon and ready to be signed. I can't help but wonder if some surprises are going to be thrown at us, more unexpected hoops to jump thru.

Glad things are coming together. My hope is that the treaty just makes everyone feel better, not necessarily that there's more to do on the front end. My thought is that there might be more follow-ups required for longer periods of time once kiddos are back in the US. That's my hope! Can't wait until you're in Russia, too, and seeing that LIttle Miss again!

when you arrive in Vladivostok in 2 weeks all the hassle of the last year will feel so worth it.

Like tracey, I can't wait to get updates from you and finally see a picture of your little girl.

As for the hotel in Moscow, if you are staying at the Marriot, they have an adoption rate and a very nice play room. it is also very nicely located. Close to red square, kremlin etc, the zoo and old arbat street.

You are lucky you are going in summer. No snow storms to deal with.

good luck!

Soon, all this waiting will be a thing of the past and all you will care about is having that beauty in your arms for good. I still look back and am amazed we continued on through many twists and turns on our way to Aubree...but it's a distant memory now. I am eagerly anticipating word that you are there in Vlad with that treasure!

I like the two weeks to go ticker alot better. The one year one makes me ILL! Ugh! I can't imagine what you have been through. But God is good and He is going to see you through this. The finish line is in sight. (Though the sorrow may last through the night His joy comes in the morning!) Your joy is within reach! Yippppeee!

I can't wait until you get to see your girl again. What an amazing day that will be!

We'll be in Moscow on from Aug 11-19. Will you be here at all then? Maybe our paths can cross outside of the blog world :).

Our travel dates have changed now :). We're leaving Russia from SVO airport on the day you're arriving. Perhaps our paths might cross after all. What airport are you flying into?
