She is still of course precious and amazing and it just felt beyond wonderful to have her in our arms again. She was a bit shy and quiet, but did warm up to us and we got some smiles and some talking eventually. Of all the toys I brought for her to play with, this time she was most interested in us and her favorite things were the tags on the clothes I brought to try on her. She was very cooperative as I tried on several different sized outfits and shoes. She's definitely grown (thank goodness after a year you would hope so!!) but she's still small and fitting into 9-12 month sizes, more on the 12 month side, and wearing size 3-4 shoes. Its definitely warmer and more humid here than I was thinking so I think I'm going to need to shop for some cooler summer clothing. The baby home was great and brought her out in a very cute outfit and even did her hair up in the cutest pigtails and bows. We got some good pictures, but it was quite hot and stuffy in the room and her poor little head and hair kept getting sweatier and sweatier the more we played and held her. I gave her a few yogurt melts but she didn't seem impressed. Its a good thing they melt in your mouth because I didn't see her chew one little bit. Eating may turn out to be a bit of a challege, but the caregivers say she is a good eater and likes everything, so we'll see. I just can't wait to feed her......lots and lots!!!
So, for the time being, much of our anxiety has melted away and we're just so excited to bring her home. I'm already dreading getting on a plane at the end of the week and leaving her here, but at least I know it will only be for a very short time. We now can think of her cute face and smile as we endure the circus of the 8-doctor medical tomorrow.

Soooo glad that you were able to see her today! Please please please take some photos of her room if possible and the outside of her room/baby home! I really would like to know how it changed!
GREAT DAY!!!!
I think they all tell you they are good eaters. Don't believe them especially if she is not interested in your food. They said that about Chloe and that child (as we found out later) had never eaten table food. She drank watered down formula.
Chloe was on baby food until she was almost 3. We had to start with stage 1 and work our way up and slowly work in table food. Oh she would gauge.
Chloe still pockets food at time but is basically cured after 2 years.
Enjoy feeding her!
Sounds like a great visit! You'll do fine with the medical thing tomorrow. It'll be over and y'all will ALL be home before you know it!
