We are the proud parents of Anna Natalia!!! It went fine, we weren't asked anything tricky (except I guess the birth dates of our children which Steve got WRONG....nice). Mainly, they wanted to know why it took soooo long to return to court. ME TOO!!!! My stomach is not doing too great right now so nervousness over court was kinda replaced with nervousness about my upset stomach. I would have liked to really go out and celebrate, but instead we had a nice dinner at the VMI with all the families here. Tomorrow we will get to take Anna to get her passport pictures taken so we actually get to break her out of the baby home.....too bad we still need to bring her back. I hope I feel better in the morning. I thought I have been really good and eating safe, but we think it was the pizza last night.
Our visit in the morning also went great. She walked us all over the playground. We just had to watch out for massively huge spiders!
So we are completely happy and so glad that our perserverance paid off. It just feels a little strange to be announced the parents of a little girl who we can't celebrate with right now, and to not be around all our family and friends who have supported us all along. Soon enough I guess......soon enough.

YAHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! You should see my goosebumps! So, so glad things went well, grinchy tummy and all! So glad you get to go with to get her passport picture! I know it's tough to leave her there, but it's for the last time! We also kept getting comments about how long it was between trips and I wanted to yell, "THAT'S BECAUSE OF YOU AND NOT US! WE WOULD HAVE BEEN BACK INSTANTLY HAD YOU LET US!!!!!" Congrats and congrats and congrats!

Congrats! I am so excited for you. And yes, I understand the feeling. Having court and having Colby announced our son seemed less exciting than the day we actually took him out of the baby home and especially less exciting than the day we arrived home. That is the day we celebrate as a family. Can't wait to see the first family photo!

Congratulations on your new daughter! How glad must you be to have court done...such a huge milestone to check off the list! Now your journey of becoming a family can really begin. Can't wait to see pictures of you with her and then as a whole family when you get to bring her back with you.
Congratulations! I bet when the judge asked you "what took you so long to return?" it took all of your restraint to say "YOU TELL US!!!!!!". Congrats again. Seeing the picture of the little room outside the baby room brought back memories for us. We are so glad you guys are there now!

I've been on vacation and didn't have internet. I came home and in about 5 minutes had my laptop open to read about your adventure!!! So so so happy for you! I can't wait to see pics. I love her name!!!!! I had to laugh when I read 12 month clothes, because Grace (15 mo.) is in 24 month!!!!! It's hard to believe you finally made it! Anna is so lucky to have a family that persevered so long for her!
I know someone who leaves VMI tomorrow. If you met Sabrina and her family, tell her hello for me!
